Machine Features :
The one-piece column made by Meehanite cast iron with wide span ribbed box structure provides strong stability and rigidity. It dramatically decreases vibration, thermal expansion, and deformation caused by cutting stress. The over size box sliding ways are heat treated to Rockwell 55 degree and stress relieved. All contact surface on all casting components are hand scraped to ensure the tightest fit and highest accuracy possible. The result of the intensive details put into this assembly is ultimate damping, which provides longer tool life and improvements in part surface finishes.
Octagon RAM Design
Because of the unique structure design, a revolutionary octagon RAM design provides excellent straightness and thermal expansion control. From experiment, this special octagon RAM provides superior damping characteristics, excellent thermal expansion control, and stronger rigidity than traditional square RAM. the octagon design provides minimum through-hole capacity and allows better clearance to bore a deep hole. It increases about 23% more clearance than same size of square RAM.
Work Table & Gear Box
The floating hydraulic bearing design using heavy duty taper roller bearing; it is built in one piece base casting. The enormously table load capability is more than double compare to peer model. The high torque, 2-speed gearbox incorporates with Fanuc 40/6000i spindle motor provides extremely up to 23,270 N-M cutting power to overcome all tough jobs.
The optional C axis with hydraulic disk brake design is equipped with all live tooling models. It is fully programmable C axis and minimum programmable interval is 0.001 degree. The optional high torque CF axis and high resolution magnetic encoder are also available for all live tooling (M) models. The high torque Fanuc servo motor drives a set of worm gear and worm shaft to achieve precisely position and great control.
Optional Live Tooling & Tool Magazine
The optional live tooling allows a work piece to be turned, milled, drilled, tapped, or even grinding in one machine. With the latest technology, live tooling is driven by an FANUC 20 HP spindle motor to provide ample power and torque. It produces 196 NM of torque @ 750 RPM and easy to handle up to M30 tap and 50 mm drill. Tool magazine utilizes the latest servo indexing technology to achieve 0.5 second indexing times for adjacent stations.
